‘Brazil’ Plot Synopsis
In Brazil, Sam Lowry is a meek, low-level bureaucrat working in the oppressive Ministry of Information. One day, he becomes a dauntless hero when he rescues a helpless damsel in distress. However, when a mechanical error results in the arrest of an innocent man, instead of the suspected terrorist, Harry Tuttle, Lowry’s desperate attempt to right a wrong leads him to a chance encounter with a mysterious young woman. Oddly, the woman is a ringer for a woman who appears in his delusional but lucid dreams. As the ever-present dystopian government comes knocking, Lowry finds himself in in a situation where there is no good conclusion.
