‘Field of Dreams’ 30-Second Summary
Based on W.P. Kinsella’s 1982 novel “Shoeless Joe”, Field of Dreams tells the story of Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella who hears a mysterious voice in his cornfield that tells him to build a baseball field on his farm. Despite the financial repercussions, Ray does, and he soon encounters the mysterious ghost of “Shoeless” Joe Jackson, a disgraced baseball player from the 1919 Black Sox Scandal. Soon, Ray sets off on a cross country trip to “ease his pain”. However, Ray continues to wonder, whose pain is he easing.
