‘McCabe & Mrs. Miller’ Movie Summary
McCabe & Mrs. Miller takes place in the early 1900s. We meet the charismatic John McCabe who is a poker player and reputed gunfighter as he arrives in a small mining and lumber town in the Pacific Northwest. He decides it’s a nice place to open up a saloon and brothel. After he purchases some cheap women, Constance Miller shows up with an offer to run the brothel for him. She quickly establishes herself as the smarter of the two, and the business begins making tons of money. That success brings Eugene Sears and Ernie Hollander to town who then offer to buy McCabe out. When McCabe gambles on a better price, the men balk, and send for their hired killer to take McCabe out of the picture instead.
