‘Santa Claus Conquers the Martians’ 30-Second Summary
When Martians decide to kidnap Santa Claus in a feeble effort to cheer up their own kids on the Red Planet, they have trouble identifying the real one among the Salvation Army rejects and Bad Santas in Phoenix shopping malls due to the fact they picked the busiest time of the year for impersonators. Eventually they do find the real one, but during their kidnapping attempt, they wind up bringing two innocent Earth kids along for the ride. While Lord and Lady Kimar, who rule the Martians, aren’t looking to harm Santa or the kids; they do want to see their own children happy. That means the three Earthlings could be stuck there until Matt Damon is born and grows up to visit the planet himself. Meanwhile, hiding in some caves in another part of Mars, a Martian named Voldar leads a seedy group of xenophobes who are hell bent on getting rid of these illegal Earth aliens for taking their Christmas jobs! Now it’s up to Santa, little Billy; his sister, Betty, and a wannabe rotund Martian named Dropo (who will one day be Mars’ version of Santa) to convince the quarreling Martians to send them three Earthlings home in time for a very, Merry Christmas!
