Glad to see Chris back. Surprised no one mentioned sterling Hayden had an important role in The Godfather – the corrupt police chief that Michael kills in the restaurant. Also Spielberg wanted him to play Quint in Jaws but he couldn’t because of problems with the IRS. He made many noirs including maybe my favorite – the asphalt jungle. As far as the question about the first non linear film, does citizen Kane count?
Also Marie Windsor is a noir icon – she was in Narrow Margin among many others.
I totally forgot that he was in The Godfather, but his death in that was great….The Asphalt Jungle will be reviewed in March of 2019 on Noirsville…a great movie too.
Marie Windsor will be on future Noirsville episodes too. She was in The Fighting Kentuckian we reviewed on Sunday Seconds earlier this year.
Looking forward to Woman in the Window(believe it’s the 3rd Fritz Lang film you’ve done?) great that many noirs are being reviewed.
Yes, it’s the third one, and there will be more I’m sure. I can think of a few I’d like to review.
